About Bharosa Club
An independent, evidence-based accountability service for Indian financial influencers.
The problem
Financial advice on Indian social media reaches an enormous audience with almost no accountability attached. A creator can make a confident stock call, delete the video when it goes wrong, and post the next one to the same followers. Viewers have no practical way to check whether the person they are listening to has a record worth trusting, or whether they are registered with SEBI at all.
What we do about it
Bharosa Club ingests publicly posted content from finance creators, extracts the specific, checkable claims, tracks what actually happened to those calls against a market benchmark, and publishes the result as a plain-language trust profile with the underlying evidence attached.
Principles we hold ourselves to
- Evidence, not opinion-by-assertion. Every published signal links to the source it came from, with the date it was last checked.
- Fair referee, not tabloid. Neutral facts get neutral wording. We do not sensationalise, and "makes few specific calls" is not an accusation.
- Honest uncertainty. Where the data is thin we say "insufficient data" rather than publishing a rating we cannot support.
- Right of reply. Anyone we assess can respond, and the response is published alongside.
- Correct in public. Errors are fixed on the record with a correction note, not quietly edited away.
- Unpurchasable. No assessment is for sale, at any price, in any direction.
What we are not
Bharosa Club is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst. We do not give investment advice, make recommendations, manage money, or tell anyone what to buy or sell. We publish information about the public track record and conduct of people who do.
